Dont mistake this stand for one of the flimsy, wobbly, sheet metal stands commonly found on the market today. Made from 4mm thick steel, this universal lathe stand is extremely rigid with no racking or flexing. The legs have an extra flange bent on the inside to allow you to insert a piece of plywood creating a "boxed" leg which can be filled with sand for extra vibration dampening. Any lathe that can fit on this stand can be bolted to it after marking and drilling.
